I have completed the fur hood based on the Greenland hood pattern. I did modify the pattern to not include the later period lyre pipe. I chose to remove this piece because the overall hood design reminds me of the Viking era hood (Skjoldehamn hood). It is very similar except for the way the gores are placed. In the Skjoldehamn hood the gores are in the front and back while on the Greenland hood they are on the side (similar to the English style hoods).
Again, I chose to create this hood because in the Eirik the Red Saga, Thorbjorg (the Seiðr practitioner) is said to be wearing a black lamb skin hood lined with cat fur. Instead of cat fur, I did use rabbit fur. "Hún hafði á höfði lambskinnskofra svartan og við innan kattarskinn hvítt." (She wore a black lambskinn hood lined with cat skin.)
